Doug began his career in the early 2000s, working in marketing and financial services before transitioning fully into real estate. These early roles helped shape his strategic approach to property marketing, negotiation, and client relations—skills that would later become foundational to his success.

 

In 2006, Doug founded Blue Fence Real Estate, a boutique brokerage designed to modernize the home buying and selling experience. Built on a vision of combining high-end marketing with cutting-edge technology, Blue Fence quickly distinguished itself in the market. The firm utilizes advanced tools such as professional media, virtual tours, and hyper-local online platforms to provide clients with maximum exposure and real-time market insights.

 

Under Doug’s leadership as Designated Managing Broker, Blue Fence has grown into one of the area’s most trusted real estate firms, successfully helping clients buy and sell over 1,000 homes. His hands-on leadership style and commitment to personalized service have been central to the company’s growth and reputation.

 

In addition to brokerage leadership, Doug expanded his entrepreneurial footprint by launching Anderson Property Group, where he serves as Managing Director. Through this venture, he focuses on real estate investment, acquisitions, and portfolio growth, leveraging his deep market knowledge to identify value-driven opportunities.

 

Doug is also an active real estate investor himself, owning and managing a portfolio of more than 90 rental units valued at over $14 million. This real-world investment experience provides him with a unique perspective that benefits both buyers and sellers, especially those interested in wealth-building through real estate.
